Red Earth Roo (Aussie Series #2)
Photographed from a low angle on red earth, this kangaroo stepped forward with a calm curiosity that made the moment unforgettable. Its face fills the frame, capturing the personality and presence of one of Australia’s most iconic animals.
Printed on corrugated iron, the artwork carries the rugged texture of the outback. The handcrafted Australian hardwood frame adds warmth and authenticity, making this piece a true celebration of Australian wildlife and culture.
Perfect for homes, pubs, commercial spaces, cabins, and businesses wanting a genuine Aussie touch.
This framed artwork is part of The Aussie Series, a collection created to celebrate the raw, unmistakable character of Australia — its light, its landscapes, and its wildlife spirit.
The photograph was taken during a blazing outback sunset, the kind where the sky turns molten red and gold and every surface seems to glow. I was walking past an old corrugated‑iron shed, the kind you find scattered across rural properties, when a white bird swept across the sky. It hovered for a moment, wings catching the last fire of the day, and I raised the camera just as it flared against the metal backdrop. That split second — nature meeting industry, softness meeting grit — became the heart of this image.
To honour that moment, the artwork is printed directly onto corrugated iron, giving it a true Australian feel. The ridges of the metal add texture and depth, echoing the original setting where the photo was captured. It’s bold, rustic, and unmistakably Aussie.
The frame is crafted from premium Australian hardwood, selected for its strength, grain, and warm natural tone. Each frame is shaped, sanded, and finished by hand, giving it a refined yet earthy presence. The timber complements the metal print perfectly, creating a piece that feels both modern and grounded in Australian heritage.
This artwork is ideal for homes, offices, and spaces that celebrate authenticity, craftsmanship, and the spirit of the Australian outdoors. It’s more than a photograph — it’s a story of light, land, and the quiet magic found in everyday moments.
